About Holli
I am a Licensed Master of Social Work with a Certificate in Substance Use Counseling from the University of Georgia. I am a 1996 graduate of Agnes Scott College with a double major in Philosophy and English Literature/Creative Writing. In 2017, I became a certified divorce and co-parenting coach, helping families move through separation with less conflict and greater resilience.
Returning to graduate school in my forties for my MSW at UGA, I paired my business background in marketing/social media/writing/editing with my passion for helping humans thrive. I view therapy as a space to bring together an understanding of root causes and the impacts of life experiences with practical, actionable skills to use outside of session, leading to more ease and present-mindedness in daily life.
I work with teens (ages 14 and up), adults, and couples, informed by attachment theory and a strengths-based approach. I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), somatic therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, parenting, communication challenges, and relationship struggles. With couples, I support partners in improving connection, resolving conflict, and building healthier ways of relating, whether they are deepening a long-term bond or navigating separation and co-parenting. I welcome the LGBTQ+ community.
I believe that therapy should offer more than a space to cope. It should help individuals grow into fuller, more authentic versions of themselves. Life brings challenges at every stage, whether you're a child learning to manage big feelings, a teen developing a sense of self and social connections, or an adult confronting shifts in priorities, relationships, career, or purpose. For couples, these challenges often show up as disconnection, miscommunication, or patterns that feel hard to break. I am passionate about helping individuals better understand their drivers and creating a toolbox of skills grounded in mindfulness. With couples, I strive to help partners who want to reconnect, strengthen their relationship, and navigate difficult transitions together.
Originally from Savannah, Georgia, I have a blended family with six children ranging from their late teens to early thirties, along with our rescue Shar Pei, Henry. As a former doula, I love everything related to childbirth, babies, and parenting. I enjoy audiobooks, music, digging deep into new areas of learning, walking, time outside in nature, and sharing a meal and conversation with family and friends. And if there is a rocking chair or swing nearby, I will find it (just take a peek in my office)!
